About:
I started my professional artistic practice as a photographer and ceramicist. I originally focused on capturing the stillness & tranquility of nature. As I started pursuing higher education in my discipline, I began to shift my focus to portraiture and staging aspects of my photographs. At first, I preferred digital cameras because I could see my results in real time and could see what exact adjustments were needed for a successful image. Recently though, I have realized that my most successful art was unplanned and taken in the moment. Since then, I have focused on portraying my ideas in a more vulnerable and expressive way. Using film and loosening my control on the process has really helped me achieve my goal in my art making and conveying how I see the world.
